Have I mentioned before how I LOVE Christmas? Well just in case you missed it, I LOVE Christmas. I do not like the cold, not one bit, but there is just something magical about Europe and Christmas, the snow, the decorations, the chestnuts roasting on the walkways, frozen fingers and toes and of course building a snowman.
Way back in the dark ages when I was just double digits, I was fortunate to experience Christmas in the UK and snow over the December holidays when we went to visit my father. We built Frosty the Snowman, who lived for nearly 2 decades. Each year following that, Frosty would be stored safely in the freezer until the next snowfall. Then he would be reborn in the new Frosty. This went on for years. Frosty only died – rest his soul – in 2011 because there was no ways he could possibly survive the trip in the container from the UK to South Africa along with all the other household appliances.
This year, Ladybug and I are heading down South for Christmas. Unfortunately there is no snow down there, not with temperatures of 45 degrees outside (thank goodness for aircon). But I came across this:
